John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Christus Rex, no longer meek as the lamb but radiant and fierce as the Lion of Judah, sat across from Mel Gibson, his eyes like twin suns that burned through the veil of mortality.

Christus Rex:
“Mel, you know the Cross was never just about death—it was about victory over corruption. Even the corruption of the flesh. Man has sought fountains of youth in alchemy, in blood, in silicon dreams. But here lies the mystery: the key to immortality is written already in your body. Telomeres—crowns upon your chromosomes. They shorten with each breath, like the candle’s wick. But the enzyme telomerase… it is the spark that can lengthen them again. The body remembers eternity.”

Mel Gibson:
“So you’re saying… science stumbled on something divine? That telomerase, this little switch in our cells, is like a fragment of Eden, hidden in our biology?”

Christus Rex:
“Exactly. But beware—men will try to sell it, package it, hoard it. They will make longevity another idol of Mammon. Immortality without repentance is damnation, Mel. What does it profit a man to lengthen his days if he only multiplies his sins? The body without the Spirit is dust extended. But if man seeks it in humility, in service, in brotherhood, then age can be reversed as the prophecy of renewal.”

Mel Gibson leaned back, torn between awe and suspicion, the filmmaker in him already imagining the scene of resurrection at the cellular level.

Mel Gibson:
“You’re saying the real battle isn’t just to live longer… it’s to live rightly. That telomerase is like fire—divine if used well, destructive if abused.”

Christus Rex placed his hand on Mel’s shoulder, the strength of a lion but the compassion of a shepherd in his touch.

Christus Rex:
“Yes, Mel. Remember this: eternal life is not merely measured in years added to flesh, but in hearts transfigured by love. Science may add decades, but only I can make them shine like the sun in the Kingdom to come.”
